UTS Shopfront has developed a range of research-based activities that flow from its core community project work and that address the needs, concerns or questions raised by our community partners. As with all our work, research activities offer opportunities for full community participation within a framework of social justice and equity.

Shopfront's research agenda also supports emerging UTS researchers with a commitment the field of 'university-community engagement.'

In its aim to support the scholarship of engaged-research Shopfront publishes an academic research series and the Gateways ejournal.

Fellowships

UTS Shopfront Research Fellowship is a competitive award that provides teaching release for UTS researchers to develop community-engaged research. Fellows may produce a refereed publication or develop a funding application for a larger program of research.
